Job summary

Hanger Clinic in Austin, TX is offering a Clinical Resident position focused on orthotics and prosthetics. You will train under experienced clinicians, assess patients, design and fit prosthetic/orthotic devices, and participate in patient care activities within a leading O&P network.

The residency emphasizes clinical guidelines, technology, and continuing education, with supervision by NCOPE-accredited staff and a pathway to future opportunities as you advance in the field.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Orthotics and/or Prosthetics from a CAAHEP accredited program is required.
• Must have or be eligible to obtain a valid driver's license per policy.
• Master's degree and a post-graduate certificate are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with physicians to evaluate prosthetic/orthotic needs and discuss options.
• Design prostheses/orthoses and select materials and components.
• Perform fittings and adjust devices for proper fit and function.
• Provide patient instruction and follow-up with patients and physicians.
• Document clinical notes supporting medical necessity.
