Corewell Health in Grand Rapids is seeking an Anesthesia Technician to support the Operating Room HDVCH. The role involves preparing, delivering, and cleaning up patient care during intra-operative procedures.

The position requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, 2 years of patient care experience (1 year in OR preferred), and BLS within 60 days. Anesthesia Tech certification is preferred. Part-time schedule with day shifts and on-site work.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate's Degree in related field preferred.
• 2 years of relevant patient care experience preferred and 1 year in Operating Room preferred.
• BLS (AHA or ARC) within 60 days required.
• Anesthesia Technician Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists in preparation, delivery and cleanup of patient care during the intra-operative phase.
• Contributes to smooth operation of the unit.
• Obtains and organizes equipment, sterile supplies and instruments for each surgical case.
• Assembles surgical supplies for rooms and case tables.
• Opens sterile supplies for procedures.
• Cleans equipment and work areas, including decontamination and sterilization of instruments; returns unneeded equipment to the appropriate department.
• Follows up on equipment needing repairs.
