Job summary

Corewell Health’s Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital in Grand Rapids seeks a Behavioral Health Technician to maintain a safe, therapeutic environment for patients under direct observation. You will work under the Bedside RN, collaborating with Behavioral Health, MSW, and medical staff to follow the established plan and support patient care.

The role offers cross-training into Nursing Technician duties, with night shifts from 7:00 pm to 7:30 am and a 36-hour weekly schedule.

Qualifications

• Required High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Preference for psychiatric unit experience.
• BLS - AHA certification within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Provide and maintain a safe, therapeutic environment for patients requiring direct observation.
• Collaborate with RN, Behavioral Health team, MSW, and Medical Team to implement the behavioural plan.
• Cross-trained to Nursing Technician role to support daily patient care and ADLs.
