Corewell Health's Blodgett Hospital in Grand Rapids seeks an OR support staff member to assist in intra-operative care, prepare and clean equipment, and help ensure smooth surgical operations in a high-tech environment.

Requires a High School diploma, 2 years patient care experience (1 year OR preferred), and BLS/ABLS within 60 days of hire. Full-time, day shift, 36 hours weekly. On-site with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 2 years of relevant patient care experience preferred; 1 year OR experience preferred.
• AHA or ARC American Basic Life Support (BLS) within 60 Days of hire required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparation, delivery and clean-up of patient care during intra-operative phase.
• Obtains and organizes necessary equipment, sterile supplies and instruments for each surgical case.
• Assembles surgical supplies for rooms and case tables.
• Opens sterile supplies for surgical procedures.
• Cleans equipment and decontaminates/sterilizes instruments and returns unneeded equipment.
