Job summary

Tenet Healthcare's DMC Children’s Hospital of Michigan is seeking an experienced Surgical Technician to support the OR team in Detroit. You will assist with instrument handling, aseptic technique, and patient positioning during surgical procedures.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, certification desirability, and 1–2 years of experience. The position is full-time with day shifts and opportunities for professional development within a leading pediatric care network.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Certification by the Association of Surgical Technologists is highly desirable.
• One to two years experience as a surgical technician preferred.

Responsibilities

• Scrub on all operating procedures and maintain aseptic technique.
• Prepare equipment and supplies for scheduled procedures.
• Assist in transporting and positioning patients, and support the circulating nurse.
• May serve as second circulator and contribute to in-service education.
