Job summary

Wise Medical Staffing is seeking an experienced RN for the OR in a pediatric acute care hospital in Dayton, Ohio. This PRN opportunity allows nurses to apply their passion for pediatric care and operate in a flexible schedule, with emphasis on OR experience.

The candidate should have 2+ years of OR experience, Ohio RN license, BSN or in progress, and certifications (BLS/ACLS; PALS preferred). CNOR is highly preferred, with background screening and onboarding requirements to be completed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2-year RN experience in OR (Peds).
• Ohio RN license required.
• BSN degree required or in progress.
• Strong patient assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Must have American Heart Associtation.
• Current BLS certification required.
• ACLS certification required.
• PALS certification preferred.
• CNOR highly preferred.
• Ability to pass background screening and onboarding requirements.

Responsibilities

• The OR Registered Nurse provides nursing care to pediatric patients within the operating room, performs assessments and interventions designed to keep patients safe during surgery.
• Assists the physician in accomplishing the plan of care for the patient and provides continuity between the patient care unit and the Operating Room.
