Job summary

Shriners Children's St. Louis is seeking an Operating Room Registered Nurse to join a team dedicated to improving children's lives. You will provide nursing care in the OR, perform assessments and interventions designed to keep the patients safe during surgery.

The role offers a 3/10 dayshift schedule, with emphasis on family-centered care, collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, accurate documentation, and ongoing professional growth within a renowned pediatric program.

Qualifications

• BSN degree required or in progress.
• Missouri RN license required.
• 2+ years OR experience required.
• BLS certification required.
• PALS certification within one year of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to pediatric patients in the operating room.
• Perform assessments and interventions to ensure safety during surgery.
• Involve patient and family in the care plan and document outcomes.
• Implement and document the plan of care with the health care team.
• Educate patients and families and assist the physician to ensure continuity of care.
