Job summary

Shriners Children's Chicago is seeking a PRN Operating Room RN to join a dedicated pediatric OR team. You will provide nursing care to children undergoing surgery and support the perioperative team to keep patients safe.

A BSN degree (or in progress), an Illinois RN license, and 2+ years of OR experience are required; CNOR and scrub experience are preferred.

This role features a quality work-life balance with no weekend OR cases, on-call at least once per week, and rotating weekends.

Responsibilities

• The OR Registered Nurse provides nursing care to our pediatric patients within the operating room, performs assessments and interventions designed to keep the patients safe during surgery.
• Assists the physician in accomplishing the plan of care for the patient and to provide continuity between the patient care unit and the Operating Room.
