Job summary

Seattle Children’s is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Cancer & Blood Disorders IP Unit (0.9 FTE, Nights) to join a family-centered care team. The RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care using the Nursing Care Process in collaboration with families and the health care team.

Required credentials include an active Washington RN license and BLS; PEARS or PALS may be required for specific areas.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Prior experience in a pediatric related health care setting, or a specific area of nursing, may be required for specific departments.
• Current Washington State RN License, or other current state license that the RN is required to work in.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers is required for all positions at time of hire unless the incumbent possesses a current Life Support Education required for their practice area.
• Pediatric PEARS/PALS accepted in lieu of BLS; ACLS not accepted as substitute.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, family-centered patient care.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care using the Nursing Care Process in collaboration with patients and families.
• Coordinate with the health care team; delegate tasks as defined by state rules.
• Support strategic goals and CPI, Value Based Behaviors, and patient safety initiatives.
