Job summary

Children’s Colorado seeks an experienced Registered Nurse (Clinical Nurse II) to join the Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders (CCBD) on an inpatient unit. The role emphasizes family-centered care, inter-professional collaboration, and evidence-based practice in a pediatric oncology/ped hematology setting.

Responsibilities include delivering safe, developmentally appropriate care, using the EMR for documentation, and participating in quality improvement and staff education.

Qualifications

• BSN is required or equivalent.
• 1 year of nursing experience required; Hem/Onc/BMT or 3+ years pediatric experience preferred.
• Current Colorado RN license or RN license from multistate compact; BLS/CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide family-centered care as a partner with patient and family.
• Utilize the nursing process to deliver developmentally appropriate, evidence-based care.
• Communicate patient values and care plans to the interdisciplinary team.
• Apply evidence-based practice and participate in quality improvement activities.
• Use data to monitor outcomes and contribute to safety and improvement.
• Promote safety and report unsafe conditions, advocating for patients and staff.
