Job summary

MaineHealth's Waldo Hospital is seeking an Occupational Therapist to organize and conduct prescribed therapy programs, supporting patients to regain function and independence.

The role requires graduates of an AOTA‑accredited OT program, current state OT licensure, and BLS certification; a driver’s license is needed for home care duties, and 1 year of relevant OT experience is preferred.

Summary

The Occupational Therapist role organizes and conducts prescribed skilled occupational therapy programs through the application of purposeful, goal-directed activity in the treatment of persons whose function is impaired by physical illness or injury, emotional disorder, congenital or developmental disability or the aging process to achieve the optimum functioning, to prevent disability, and to maintain health.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities (KSAs)
  • Education: Graduate of an AOTA accredited Occupational Therapist program required.
  • License/Certifications: Current applicable state(s) temporary/permanent license as an Occupational Therapist required or in compliance with the state practice act. Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date. Positions in Home Care will require current valid Driver's License with vehicle available for work covered by liability insurance as specified by agency policy.
  • Experience: One year of experience working in a hospital, long-term care, home, school system or outpatient Occupational Therapy department preferred.

The pay range for this position is $77,147.20to $104,353.60per year.

Compensation for part-time positions isdeterminedon a prorated basis consistent with the scheduled hours and applicable full-time equivalent (FTE).
