Job summary

Abbott is seeking a Pediatric Sales Specialist to promote and grow Abbott Pediatric Nutritional products in hospital and office settings across Montgomery County, MD. You will manage territory goals, negotiate hospital contracts, and deliver clinical information to Dietitians, Physicians and Nurses.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of healthcare sales experience with clinical exposure, plus knowledge of hospital environments and credentialing processes.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of healthcare sales experience plus clinical experience (RDs or RNs)
• Stability and proven success in sales in a healthcare setting
• Knowledge of hospital departments (NICU, Pediatrics, Pharmacies, Purchasing) and credentialing requirements

Responsibilities

• Develop and support territory sales goals in hospital and office settings for pediatric nutrition brands (Similac, PediaSure)
• Negotiate hospital contracts and agreements
• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of products, clinical studies, protocols and guidelines for selling environments
• Lead new product launches and educate stakeholders on clinical benefits
• Understand hospital hierarchy and departments (NICU, Pediatrics, Pharmacies, Nurseries) and collaborate with Dietitians, Physicians and Nurses
• Demonstrate strong administrative and budgeting skills to manage territory programs
• Work independently with initiative and drive to achieve short- and long-term goals
