Job summary

Akron Children's Hospital seeks a Full-Time RN with a BSN to lead and coordinate pediatric nursing care on site. Duties include planning, implementing, and evaluating care while guiding staff, promoting family-centered practices, and ensuring safety and quality across shifts.

Required are an Ohio RN license, BLS, and a BSN (within 5 years). ACLS/PALS/TNCC must be obtained within 1 year. The role features 4x9-hour shifts and on-site work with some travel between locations as needed.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required or to be obtained within 5 years of hire.
Active Ohio RN license and Basic Life Support certification required.
ACLS, PALS and TNCC certifications must be obtained within 1 year of hire.
Demonstrated leadership, team collaboration, and customer-focused care.

Responsibilities

Assesses, plans, implements, evaluates, and directs nursing care with family-centered focus.
Demonstrates knowledge to meet physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety needs.
Performs leadership duties and mentors staff when appropriate.
Supports provider staff and promotes collaboration for quality, efficient care.
