Job summary

University Hospitals Urgent Care in Rocky River, OH is seeking an experienced Pediatric Nurse Practitioner to deliver age-appropriate care for patients from 0 to 26 years, with a focus on pediatric and adolescent health in a fast-paced urgent care setting.

The role includes procedures, imaging interpretation, patient education, and close collaboration with center physicians. Travel to other UH Urgent Care centers may be required, with a strong emphasis on teamwork and quality patient experiences.

Qualifications

• PNP license in good standing.
• 5+ years of pediatric clinical experience preferred.
• Active medical license in the state or ability to obtain licensure.
• Current DEA registration.
• Current BLS and PALS certifications.
• Strong pediatric patient care experience.
• Experience performing suturing and incision/drainage.
• Experience interpreting X-rays and EKGs.
• Willingness to travel to other centers as needed.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients ages 0–26, with emphasis on pediatric and adolescent care.
• Perform procedures within scope: suturing, incision and drainage, splinting.
• Read and interpret X-rays and EKGs.
• Educate patients and families on care plans and health management.
• Maintain accurate medical documentation.
• Collaborate with physicians and the center team to provide high-quality care.
• Travel to other UH Urgent Care centers as needed.
