Job summary

University Hospitals Urgent Care by WellStreet in Willoughby, Ohio is seeking a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner to provide age-appropriate care for patients from 0 to 26 in a fast-paced urgent care setting.

You will work with center physicians to treat pediatric and adolescent patients, perform procedures (suturing, drainage, splinting), read X-rays and EKGs, educate families, and maintain thorough documentation to ensure high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Pediatric NP license/PNP license required.
• Active medical license in the practicing state or ability to obtain licensure.
• Current DEA registration.
• Current BLS and PALS certifications.
• Strong clinical experience with pediatric patients.
• Experience performing suturing and incision/drainage.
• Experience interpreting X-rays and EKGs.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients ages 0–26 with emphasis on pediatric and adolescent care.
• Perform procedures within your scope of practice (suturing, drainage, splinting).
• Read and interpret diagnostic studies, including X-rays and EKGs.
• Educate patients and families; communicate care plans and health management.
• Maintain thorough medical documentation and ensure quality patient care.
• Collaborate with physicians and center team; participate in meetings and development.
• Maintain required certifications and travel to other centers as needed.
