Qualifikationen

• Master’s Degree from an accredited university in a Nurse Practitioner Program.
• Board Certified PNCB, AANP or ANCC required.
• Must have current unrestricted license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner from the Texas Board of Nursing.
• Annual continuing medical education as required by board specialty.
• Must be registered and have current DEA.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish highly preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Scheduled hours and/or work locations are subject to change.

Aufgaben

• Examines, diagnoses, treats and/or refers pediatric patients assigned to physician’s panel on an out-patient basis.
• Prescribes pharmaceuticals and treatment regimens in collaboration with supervising physician.
• Maintains problem-oriented health records and documents visits in the EHR; closes encounters within 24 hours.
• Ensures continuity of care by providing timely medical services per clinic schedule.
• Refers patients for appropriate specialty care, labs and imaging as needed.
• Reviews labs and imaging and makes medical decisions for the patient’s management.
