Job summary

Communicaresa seeks a Family Nurse Practitioner to deliver outpatient pediatric care under supervision. You will diagnose, treat, and refer pediatric patients, and document encounters in the EHR. The role requires a Texas NP license and board certification in pediatrics or related field, with BLS and DEA current.

This is a full-time position based in Kyle, TX, involving collaboration with physicians, learners, and staff to maintain high-quality patient care and outcomes.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree from an accredited university in a Nurse Practitioner Program.
• Board Certified in NP by AANP, ANCC, or related credential.
• Prior Pediatrics experience is preferred.
• Current unrestricted NP license in Texas.
• Annual CME as required by specialty.
• Active DEA registration.

Responsibilities

• Examine, diagnose, treat and refer pediatric patients in outpatient settings.
• Prescribe medications and treatment plans with supervising physician oversight.
• Maintain problem-oriented health records and timely documentation.
• Ensure continuity of care within clinic schedule and NP scope.
• Coordinate referrals to specialists and ancillary services as appropriate.
• Review labs/x-ray results and make medical decisions accordingly.
• Support efficient patient flow and accurate scheduling.
• Provide patient and family education and customer service.
• Mentor medical students and clinical staff when needed.
• Adhere to clinic policies and safety standards.
• Participate in health promotion and clinic meetings.
