CommuniCare Health Center Careers seeks a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner to deliver outpatient pediatric care under supervision. The role includes diagnosing, treating, prescribing and coordinating with specialists, with emphasis on documentation and timely patient care.

The position requires a Master’s in Nursing, Texas NP license, DEA, BLS and board certification (PNCB/AANP/ANCC). Bilingual English/Spanish highly preferred; on-site schedule with clinic duties and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree from an accredited university in a Nurse Practitioner program.
• Board certified (PNCB, AANP or ANCC).
• Current, unrestricted Texas NP license.
• DEA registration and BLS certification.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.

Responsabilités

• Examines, diagnoses, treats and/or refers pediatric patients on an outpatient basis with supervision.
• Prescribes medications and treatment regimens as appropriate per physician guidance.
• Maintains problem-oriented health records and thorough documentation in EHR systems.
• Ensures timely continuity of care and adherence to clinic schedules.
• Refers patients for specialty care, labs, imaging and other services as needed.
• Reviews lab and imaging results and makes medical management decisions.
• Maintains productivity and efficient patient flow within the clinic.
• Provides excellent patient and family service via phone, in person, or message.
• Trains/mentors medical students and clinical staff as appropriate.
• Adheres to clinic policies, quality and safety standards.
• Participates in health promotion and clinic meetings; performs other duties as assigned.
