Job summary

Akron Children's Hospital is seeking a Staff Nurse for the Full Time Night shift (7pm–7:30am, 36 hours/week). The role requires a BSN or progression toward it, Ohio RN license, and a commitment to family-centered pediatric care.

You will lead patient care, collaborate with providers and staff, ensure safety and quality, and support education for colleagues while maintaining legendary customer service for children and families.

Qualifications

• BSN required or obtained within 5 years from date of hire.
• Current Ohio RN license required.
• BLS certification required; other certifications may be required by department.

Responsibilities

• Assesses, plans, implements, evaluates and directs nursing care with a family-centered focus.
• Provide care for patients across age ranges as applicable; adapt for developmental status.
• Demonstrates leadership and professional duties.
• Perform patient-centered care and safety duties.
• Participate in quality improvement and safety initiatives.
• Mentor clinical staff and support education.
