Qualifications

• Current and valid New Jersey Nursing license is required.
• An active BLS/CPR certification from the American Heart Association is required.
• Minimum of 1 year of recent PEDI or PICU or NICU RN experience is required.
• BSN in progress and/or willing to acquire within three (3) years of hire.
• Strong sense of accountability, teamwork, and patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Delivery of nursing practices according to evidence-based care standards to provide safe, individualized patient care.
• Ongoing communication with patients, nursing colleagues and health care team about patient status and care plans.
• Medication administration using bar-scanning and documentation technologies to ensure safe delivery.
• Point-of-Care electronic documentation of assessments, care plans, interventions and evaluations.
• Patient and family education to optimize health, wellness and disease management.
• Multi-disciplinary discharge coordination to ensure safe transition and continuum of care.
