Qualifications

• New Jersey nursing license required.
• BLS/CPR certification by American Heart Association within 60 days of hire.
• Minimum of one year NICU nursing experience.
• NRP preferred.
• Pediatric IV Therapy and bereavement certifications preferred.
• BSN in progress and/or willing to acquire within three years of hire.
• Focus on teamwork, ongoing education, and delivering high-quality care.

Responsibilities

• Delivery of nursing practices according to up-to-date evidence-based research, policies, and standards of care to provide safe, excellent patient care.
• Ongoing communication with patients, nursing colleagues, and health care team members regarding patient status and care plans.
• Medication administration using bar-scanning and documentation technologies to ensure safe delivery of medications.
• Electronic documentation of assessments, plans of care, interventions, and evaluation in real time.
• Patient and family education to promote health, wellness, and disease management.
• Participate in multidisciplinary discharge planning to ensure safe transitions of care.
