• Minimum of one year NICU nursing experience required.
• NRP preferred; Pediatric IV Therapy and bereavement certifications preferred.
• BSN in progress and/or willing to acquire within three years of hire.

Responsibilities

• Delivery of nursing practices according to evidence-based research, policies and standards of care to provide safe, individualized patient care.
• Ongoing communication with patients, nursing colleagues and the care team regarding patient status and treatment plans.
• Medication administration using bar-scanning and documentation technologies to ensure safe delivery.
• Electronic documentation of assessments, care plans, interventions and evaluations at the point of care.
• Patient and family education to optimize health and disease management.
• Multidisciplinary discharge planning to ensure safe transitions and continuity of care.
