Responsibilities

• Delivery of nursing practices according to evidence-based research and standards of care.
• Ongoing communication with patients and health care team regarding status and plan of care.
• Medication administration using bar-scanning and documentation technologies.
• Electronic documentation of patient assessments, plan of care, interventions and evaluation.
• Patient and family education to optimize health and disease management.
• Discharging patients to ensure safe transitioning and continuity of care.
