Job summary

UI Health seeks a Pediatric Neurology APRN to join our Peoria team, providing expert pediatric care in both outpatient and inpatient settings. The APRN works with physicians, contributes to research and education, and maintains a faculty appointment for clinical privileges.

The role requires APRN licensure in Illinois, a nursing doctorate or MSN, and involvement in teaching medical/nursing students and residents. Benefits include health, retirement, and tuition waivers.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Nursing or Doctorate of Nursing Practice required.
• Current license as a Professional Registered Nurse and Advanced Practice.
• Registered Nurse in the State of Illinois required.

Responsibilities

• Manage the care of patients within assigned area.
• Obtain relevant patient health history and interpret tests.
• Perform physical exams and document findings.
• Prescribe/order interventions and develop a treatment plan.
• Educate patients and families.
• Coordinate scheduling and clearances for procedures.
• Order consultations/referrals and monitor treatment outcomes.
• Contribute to teaching and mentorship of students.
