Job summary

NONPF seeks a Pediatric Neurology APRN to provide comprehensive care for pediatric patients in both inpatient consults and outpatient clinics. The APP collaborates with Neurology physicians and staff, performs exams, orders labs and imaging, prescribes medications, and participates in discharge planning and care coordination.

The role requires strong clinical expertise, critical thinking, and effective communication with families.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in nursing or Doctorate in Nursing Practice (DNP)
• APRN licensure issued by the State of Florida - maintain active and in good standing throughout employment
• Certification by ANCC, AANPCB, or PNCB - maintain active and in good standing throughout employment
• American Heart Association BLS - maintain active and in good standing throughout employment
• Level II Background Check - maintain active and in good standing throughout employment
• Successful completion of Credentialing by NCHS Medical Administration

Responsibilities

• Performs comprehensive and problem focused history and physical examinations.
• Orders and interprets laboratory and diagnostic tests to establish diagnosis and treatment plan.
• Orders and prescribes medications within scope of practice.
• Performs procedures as demonstrated through competency.
• Provides inpatient consults and outpatient clinic visits.
• Maintains timely documentation (within 24 hours).
• Acts as a preceptor for APP students.
• Provides weekend call coverage as scheduled.
