Insight Hospital & Medical Center Chicago is seeking an experienced Neurology Nurse Practitioner to join our neuroscience program. The NP will work with a full-time neurologist to deliver high-quality neurological care across outpatient and inpatient settings, primarily supporting outpatient clinics with inpatient consultations.

Ideal candidates have NP program graduation, Illinois APRN license, national NP certification, RN license, and BLS, with 2–3 years in neurology or related fields.

Qualifikationen

• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
• Current and unrestricted Illinois APRN license or ability to obtain licensure prior to employment.
• Current national Nurse Practitioner certification.
• Current Illinois Registered Nurse license as required.
• Current BLS certification.
• Minimum 2–3 years of NP experience, preferably in neurology/ neuroscience.
• Strong knowledge of neurological assessment, diagnosis, and treatment.
• Excellent clinical judgment and ability to escalate when needed.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to travel between Chicago and surrounding suburbs.

Aufgaben

• Evaluate, diagnose, and manage outpatient neurology patients.
• Conduct comprehensive neurological histories and exams.
• Develop and implement treatment plans with the supervising neurologist.
• Manage follow-up visits and medication management.
• Assist with inpatient neurology consultations.
• Review labs and imaging relevant to neurological care.
• Order diagnostic tests within scope and policy.
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses and treatments.
• Coordinate care with PCPs and multidisciplinary teams.
• Maintain timely EMR documentation and continuity of care.
