Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED required (Associate degree preferred).
• 1 year experience in medical reception is required.
• 1 year experience in customer service is preferred.
• Electronic Medical Records (EMRs) experience is desirable - eClinicalWorks experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides a welcoming, professional greeting to patients and other visitors.
• Answers a high volume of calls in a courteous and professional manner.
• Schedules patient appointments using the scheduling matrix.
• Organizes medical records to ensure information is available during encounters.
• Performs reception duties in a professional and courteous manner.
• Schedules appointments to optimize patient satisfaction and provider time.
• Operates standard office machines.
• Collects copayments and patient balances.
• Scans reports and files into EHR.
• Collects, enters and verifies demographic and insurance information.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
