Hackensack Pediatrics in Hackensack, NJ is seeking a detail-oriented Manager with a strong background in Medical Coding and Billing to lead a small team and optimize our pediatric billing processes.

The ideal candidate has proven billing experience, excellent organizational and customer service skills, and a commitment to patient privacy. Experience with pediatric billing and ICD-10/DRG coding is a big plus. We offer PTO, bonus potential, and comprehensive benefits.

• Proven experience as a Medical Biller / Certified Coder.
• Strong knowledge of coding systems and billing procedures.
• Proficient in using medical billing software and electronic health record (EHR) systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage a small group of friendly staff
• Processing insurance claims to private insurance companies
• Review and analyze medical records and documentation to ensure accurate coding and billing
• Assign appropriate diagnosis and procedure codes using ICD-10 and DRG coding systems
• Verify patient insurance coverage and process claims for reimbursement
• Enter all billing and payment information into the EHR/EMR system properly
• Follow up on unpaid claims and resolve billing discrepancies
