Advocate Health is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join our pediatrics-focused department in Charlotte, NC. You will support clinical operations by taking vital signs, assisting with visits, performing routine lab tasks, and ensuring accurate documentation in the EMR.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent military clinical training.
• Ability to meet department-specific certification requirements (BLS).

Responsibilities

• Perform rooming tasks: vitals, meds reconciliation, history, health maintenance, screenings.
• Assist provider with procedures as ordered.
• Perform lab duties: venipuncture, specimen handling, POCT per orders, CLIA tests.
• Administer medications and vaccines safely per medication rights.
• Provide patient communication, scheduling, referrals, and follow-up as assigned.
