Advocate Health Care seeks a Medical Assistant to support Pediatrics: General within the GCMG Dev & Beh division. The role involves rooming patients, performing vital signs, history taking, and health maintenance tasks under physician supervision.

Responsibilities include lab duties, POCT, medication administration, and coordinating referrals. Must maintain competency, communicate effectively, and adhere to department policies in a fast-paced clinic setting.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED required; completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent training per DD214/emergency training considered where applicable.
• No experience required; some divisions require 2 years of verifiable Medical Assistant experience within the last 5 years.

Responsabilidades

• Adheres to Medical Assistant scope of practice and follows policies for patient care.
• Performs rooming/visit tasks: vital signs, history, screening, and medication reconciliation.
• Administers medications/vaccines safely and assists with procedures as ordered.
• Performs lab duties including venipuncture, specimen handling, and CLIA-waived tests.
