Job summary

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in a clinical practice as a Medical Assistant.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• BLS certification for Healthcare Providers within 45 days where required.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to MA scope of practice and follows policies.
• Rooming/visit tasks: vitals, med reconciliation, history, screenings.
• Assist provider with procedures as ordered.
• Lab duties: venipuncture, specimen handling, POCT, CLIA waived tests.
• Administer medications and vaccines following rights of meds.
• Manage referrals, scheduling, insurance authorizations, and messages.
• Maintain clean, stocked work environment and equipment.
• May train onboarding of teammates or serve on a committee.
