Advocate Health in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Medical Assistant for our Pediatrics: General department. The role involves rooming patients, taking vital signs, vaccines, and assisting clinicians in procedures, with occasional float to satellite clinics.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, formal MA training, and 2+ years of clinical experience. BLS certification and proficiency with EHRs are required. Shift is Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM with a late stay once weekly.

Formación

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or clinical training per DD214 in lieu of a program.
• Two years of clinical Medical Assistant experience preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Adheres to Medical Assistant scope of practice and follows department policies.
• Performs rooming tasks: vital signs, history, screenings, and medication reconciliation.
• Assists providers with procedures as ordered.
• Performs CLIA-waived lab testing and POCT per standing orders.
• Administers medications and vaccines following medication administration rights.
• Maintains clean, stocked, and safe work areas; supports training of teammates.
