Job summary

Advocate Health in Charlotte is seeking a skilled Medical Assistant to support clinical operations in a fast-paced environment. You will room patients, take vitals, perform medication reconciliation, review health history, and assist providers with procedures while maintaining safety and quality standards.

You will conduct lab tasks, administer vaccines, manage scheduling, referrals, and patient messaging, and ensure an organized, clean work area. BLS certification is required at many sites.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience as Medical Assistant in a clinical setting.
• Completion of an accredited MA program or DD214 clinical training alternative.
• BLS certification required within 45 days at selected sites.

Responsibilities

• Room patients, take vitals, review history and perform health maintenance tasks.
• Assist providers with procedures and perform designated lab duties.
• Administer vaccines, reconcile medications, and ensure CLIA-waived tests are completed properly.
• Process referrals, scheduling, patient messaging, and supply ordering.
• Maintain clean, organized work areas and effective communication with team.
