Nemours Children's Health in Melbourne, Florida seeks a compassionate Medical Assistant II to support our Central Florida Orthopedics team. You will help coordinate patient visits, assist with examinations, and ensure smooth flow of care for pediatric patients.

This role may require travel to other Nemours locations based on needs. This role demands teamwork, strong communication, and the ability to adapt in a fast-paced clinic.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum one year of experience.
• Certified CMA, RMA, NCMA, CCMA or NRCMA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and prepare patients for visits by collecting vital signs and histories.
• Assist providers during examinations, treatments, and in-office procedures.
• Administer medications and vaccines under provider direction.
• Collect specimens and perform basic laboratory testing.
• Document patient information in the electronic medical record.
• Coordinate patient flow to ensure efficient, high-quality care.
• Educate patients and families using approved materials.
• Create a comforting environment for children and caregivers.
• Maintain exam rooms and infection prevention standards.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and care team members.
• Perform additional clinical and administrative duties as needed.
