Job summary

Nemours Children's Health seeks a compassionate Medical Assistant II to join our Central Florida Otolaryngology ENT team in Orlando. This pediatric-focused role supports clinicians, coordinates patient flow, and assists with procedures.

You will work closely with families and providers, ensuring accurate documentation, safe administration of vaccines and medications, and a welcoming, child-centered environment. Travel to other Nemours locations may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of Medical Assistant experience required.
• CMA, RMA, NCMA, CCMA and NRCMA certifications accepted.
• Travel to other Nemours locations required.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and prep patients for visits, collect vital signs and histories.
• Assist clinicians during exams and in-office procedures.
• Administer medications and vaccines per protocol and supervision.
• Collect specimens, perform basic lab tests, and prepare exam rooms.
• Document patient information accurately in the EMR.
• Coordinate patient flow to maintain efficient, high-quality care.
• Educate patients and families using provider materials and instructions.
• Support a comforting environment for children and caregivers.
• Maintain exam room cleanliness and infection prevention standards.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses and the care team to deliver compassionate care.
• Perform additional clinical and administrative duties as needed.
