Nemours Children's Health in Orlando seeks a compassionate Part-Time Medical Assistant II to join the Central Florida Rehab Acute Care team. You will support pediatric endocrine care, coordinate patient visits, and assist with procedures. Travel between Nemours sites in Central Florida is required.

The role emphasizes family-centered care and collaboration with clinicians. As a Medical Assistant II, you’ll be essential in coordinating patient flow, preparing patients, and ensuring clinicians

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA), Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) or NRCMA certification accepted.
• Travel to other locations required including Lakeland and Melbourne.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and prepare patients for visits by collecting vital signs and histories.
• Assist providers during examinations, treatments, and in-office procedures.
• Administer medications and vaccines per protocols.
• Collect specimens and perform basic lab testing.
• Document patient information in the electronic medical record.
• Coordinate patient flow to support efficient, high-quality care.
• Educate patients and families using approved materials.
