Job summary

Advocate Health's Advocate Medical Group is seeking a part-time Medical Assistant to support the care team across Lake Barrington and Crystal Lake Pediatrics. You'll perform clinical and administrative tasks essential to patient care and must meet MA qualifications.

Responsibilities include greeting patients, recording vitals, preparing for exams, assisting with procedures, administering vaccines, performing lab tasks, and documenting in the EHR.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must have MA diploma or 2 years MA experience, or be a certified MA with 2 years experience.
• Phlebotomy skills are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and support their transition into care.
• Take and record vital signs, medical histories, and health screenings.
• Prepare patients for exams and assist providers during procedures.
• Administer medications and vaccines as directed.
• Perform lab-related tasks including specimen collection and point-of-care testing.
• Document care accurately in the electronic health record.
• Partner with physicians, nurses, and teammates to deliver high-quality, coordinated care.
