Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• At least two years of medical assistant experience within the last five years.
• Good communications skills; proficient keyboard/computer use.
• Familiarity with ambulatory care equipment.
• Current AHA CPR certification.
• Ability to travel locally to multiple sites as needed.
• Ability to work in stressful conditions and adapt to changing environments.
• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds and assist with patient transfers.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians and other clinicians with clinical duties including taking medical histories and assisting in physical examinations
• Act as a liaison between patients, physicians and clinicians
• Measure patient’s vital signs
• Prepare and administer vaccines/medications
