Job summary

Advocate Medical Group (AMG) Lake Barrington is seeking a Medical Assistant to support the care team with essential clinical and administrative tasks. The role is part-time with at least 20 hours per month and may be based at Lake Barrington or Crystal Lake.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, and a MA diploma or 2 years MA experience or MA certification with 2 years. Phlebotomy skills are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and support their transition into care.
• Take and record vital signs, medical histories, and health screenings.
• Prepare patients for exams and assist providers during procedures.
• Administer medications and vaccines as directed.
• Perform lab-related tasks including specimen collection and point-of-care testing.
• Document care accurately in the electronic health record.
• Partner with physicians, nurses, and teammates to deliver high-quality, coordinated care.
