You will act as liaison between families, patients, and insurance providers to coordinate care and reimbursement, collecting medical and insurance information, and handling outpatient registration.

The role requires strong organizational skills, HIPAA knowledge, and experience with EMR systems.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Two years of clerical experience in a healthcare setting.
• Ability to function independently or under supervision as task requires.
• Articulate, tactful, and able to interact with people in person and on the telephone.
• Computer literate in Excel, MS Word, and Outlook; EMR experience.
• Proficient in medical terminology and HIPAA regulations.
• Well-versed in medical benefits, plans, and eligibility.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Act as liaison between WCRH, patients' families, and insurance companies to coordinate care and reimbursement.
• Collect all necessary medical and insurance information.
• Perform outpatient registration tasks and verify benefits; obtain authorizations.
• Track and prepare weekly/monthly/annual data and reports for the Outpatient Program.
