Qualifications

• Associate/Diploma prepared RN with 2+ years of experience if hired without a BSN/MSN; must enroll in BSN/MSN within 1 year and complete within 5 years.
• BSN or MSN preferred from ACEN/CCNE/NLN CNEA accredited programs is desirable.
• Active Ohio RN license; may require other state licensure.

Responsibilities

• Compliance: maintain regulatory standards; support leadership in safety and compliance; ensure certifications and Safety College requirements are fulfilled timely.
• Uses systems thinking to support patient and family within unit, ensuring safety and policy adherence.
• Clinical judgment: collect data, follow protocols, document care plans and outcomes; provide age-appropriate and culturally inclusive care.
• Clinical inquiry & performance review: follow guidelines, implement change, seek help when needed, engage in coaching and mentoring.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team in shared decision making at point-of-care.
• Interprofessional Practice: integrate IPM in all practice aspects.
• Advocacy and inclusion: respect patient rights, consider cultural factors in care.
• Patient Care - Age Specific and Culturally Inclusive: tailor care to age and development.

Education
