Duke University Hospital in Durham, NC is seeking a Pharmacy Technician I/II to support preparation and dispensing of drugs under pharmacist supervision. This role involves IV admixtures, sterile products, and inventory management in inpatient pediatric pharmacy.

Work rotating shifts up to 30 hours per week. Must be registered with the NC Board of Pharmacy and hold PTCB/ExCPT certification; experience with hospital pharmacy is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and completion of an accredited pharmacy technician-training program or equivalent.
• Acceptance into pharmacy school or related healthcare experience.
• Pharmacy Tech II requires NC Board registration and certification.

Responsabilités

• Prepare IV admixtures or sterile products including chemotherapy.
• Fill physician orders, medication carts, and stock requisitions.
• Document restock requests in compounding software.
• Assist with cleaning, disinfection, and sterilization of equipment.
• Answer telephones and direct calls to appropriate personnel.
• Provide technical support for automated equipment.
• Maintain logs and documentation; file in proper location.
• Conduct monthly medication storage inspections and replace outdated drugs.
• Stock medications and supplies and package for dispensing.
• Perform related duties as assigned.
