Duke University Hospital in Durham, NC, seeks a Pharmacy Technician to work on-site in our pharmacy team. The role supports safe medication use by preparing IV admixtures, filling prescriptions, delivering meds, and maintaining records.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma and completion of a pharmacy technician program, or is pursuing pharmacy school, with prior health-care experience preferred. This regular full-time position offers rotating shifts and opportunities to contribute to

• High school diploma or equivalent and completion of an accredited pharmacy technician-training program.
• Acceptance into pharmacy school.
• One year of pharmacy or healthcare-related experience.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare intravenous admixtures or sterile products including chemotherapy.
• Fill physician orders, prescriptions, medication carts, or stock requisitions.
• Deliver medications and supplies to patient care and ancillary areas.
• Answer phones and direct calls to appropriate personnel.
• Enter charges and credits for patient medications.
• Enter medication orders/prescriptions into the pharmacy computer system.
• Provide technical support for automated equipment (Pyxis Robotics).
• Maintain logs, records and other required documentation.
• Inspect medication storage areas monthly; replace outdated drugs.
• Stock medications and supplies; package medications for dispensing.
