Job summary

Qualifications

• Knowledge of drug names, basic math, medical terminology, and basic computer skills.
• Ability to compound medications and admix intravenous products under supervision.
• Ability to work rotating shifts and maintain relationships with colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Prepare intravenous admixtures or other sterile products (including chemotherapy).
• Fill prescriptions, medication carts, or stock requisitions.
• Deliver medications and supplies to patient care areas.
• Answer telephones and direct calls to appropriate personnel.
• Enter charges and credits for patient medications.
• Enter medication orders into the pharmacy computer system.
• Provide technical support for automated equipment (Pyxis).
• Maintain logs and documentation; complete storage inspections monthly.
• Stock meds and supplies; package meds for dispensing.
• Perform other related duties incidental to work described herein.
