Job summary

UNC Health in Chapel Hill, NC seeks an experienced registered nurse for our Inpatient Float Pool supporting pediatric acute care units, ICU, and ED. Full-time role with 3-12 hour shifts weekly, rotating days, nights, weekends.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina.
• One year of nursing experience.
• BLS for Healthcare Provider certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide competent clinical nursing care per professional standards.
• Coordinate and deliver patient care using the nursing process.
• Educate patients and families; assess readiness to learn.
• Evaluate care and communicate with interdisciplinary team.
• Prioritize and plan care for patients with complex needs.
• Collaborate to meet unit goals and participate in performance improvement.
