Job summary

UNC Health Care is seeking Experienced Nurses for the Pediatric Float Pool in Chapel Hill, NC. The team supports Pediatric acute care units, including Pediatric ICU and ED, with precepting tailored to your skill level.

Flex II–IV options offer 12–24 hours per week with self-scheduling or rotating shifts. A 1-week orientation and competency requirements precede scheduling. Preference given to those with 18+ months hospital experience.

Qualifications

• RN licensed in North Carolina with current license.
• One (1) year of relevant and current hospital experience required.
• BLS certification must be current.

Responsibilities

• Provides competent clinical nursing care consistent with professional standards.
• Coordinates and delivers patient care utilizing the nursing process.
• Participates in patient/family education and assesses readiness to learn.
• Evaluates patient outcomes and adjusts plan of care as needed.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team for discharge planning and continuity of care.
• Promotes a safe, efficient care environment and supports unit goals.

Education

Graduation from a school of professional nursing

Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
