Job summary

UNC Health seeks experienced pediatric nurses for the Inpatient Float Pool at UNC Medical Center (Chapel Hill, NC). Per diem positions offer shifts across pediatric units including PCICU, NICU, and PEDs with orientation and competency requirements. Candidates should have a nursing degree, NC RN licensure, BLS, and at least 1 year of hospital experience.

Self-scheduling available. Orientation and clinical grouping competencies are required before scheduling.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a school of professional nursing.
• Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification.
• One year of relevant and current nursing experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provides competent clinical nursing care consistent with professional standards.
• Coordinate and deliver patient care utilizing the nursing process in a hospital setting.
• Education: participate in identifying and meeting learning needs of self and patient/family.
• Participation in evaluation, planning and delivery of care with the interdisciplinary team.
