Job summary

Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center in Cincinnati, OH is seeking a part-time Patient Care Assistant in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU). The role features a 0.5 FTE schedule with rotating shifts, and you will support licensed nurses by implementing the Plan of Care, supervising activities of daily living, and assisting with patient transport.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, CPR certification, and completion of approved clinical rotations or CNA/STNA

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and relevant clinical rotation or credentialing.
• CPR training and ongoing maintenance of certification.

Responsibilities

• Plan of Care: provide approved care and assist under RN supervision.
• Supervise activities of daily living for patients.
• Assist with developmentally appropriate activities.
• Support coworkers after completing own duties.
• Use crisis control techniques and de-escalate patients and visitors.
• Assist with patient transport as requested.
• May assist with 1 on 1 patient observation as needed.
• Complete timely documentation in the patient medical record.
