Job summary

Pediatrix Medical Group is hiring a Newborn Hearing Screen Technician to perform newborn hearing screens in hospital settings. You will receive on-the-job training and annual certification accredited by the American Academy of Audiology to improve early detection and intervention.

Typical duties include data collection, parent education, and coordinating screenings and referrals with hospital staff, all while ensuring patient safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Current CPR Certification or must obtain upon offer.
• Flexibility to work on weekends and national holidays required.

Responsibilities

• Perform newborn hearing screens and educate parents on results.
• Ensure readiness and screen only eligible babies.
• Collect data and documentation, and upload results daily.
• Provide education about the importance of early intervention.
• Maintain safety protocols and PPE per policy.
• Communicate with Site Supervisor about missed or referred babies.
• Schedule outpatient appointments for refer babies.
• Assist with data entry and state reporting.
• Work efficiently without sacrificing quality or patient education.
