Job summary

Personal Pediatrics in Miller Place, NY seeks a Full Time Pediatric Medical Receptionist to join our team. The role focuses on patient registration, insurance verification, and front-desk support in a busy pediatric office.

Experience with Electronic Medical Records (NextGen preferred) and Phreesia is a plus. Benefits include health insurance, 401K, PTO, and more. Approx. 37.5 hours per week; $17–$18 per hour depending on experience.

Qualifications

• EMR experience required; NextGen EMR a plus.
• Phreesia experience is a plus.
• Previous medical office experience preferred but not required.
• Strong customer service over the phone and in person.

Responsibilities

• Verify all patient and family demographics.
• Verify all insurance information.
• Check online pre-visit registration through Phreesia and update records.
• Follow up on positive coronavirus screening responses via Phreesia.
• Process online payments and assist parents with copays at visit.
• Assist new patients with registration forms and portal access.
• Manage referrals to specialists and handle insurance inquiries.
• Schedule future visits for patients as they exit.
